Words

Please note, this is made up by myself & is not used by the MLA or any sort of university, national organisation, et cetera.

So, in my mind, there are four tiers of word difficulties.

‘Tier I’, are the more simple words to spell & sound out. Words such as: cat, dog, bat, car, bike, food, tree, et cetera.

‘Tier II’ are slightly harder to spell & sound out but still not too hard. Ex.: humanity, chocolate, sight, concordant, finesse, receive, et cetera.

‘Tier III’ are very hard to spell & sound out, such as: bureaucracy, bourgeois, acquiescence, et cetera.

‘Tier IV’ are simply archaic terms & are not necessarily hard to spell or sound out, however, they are VERY old. Ex.: thee, gentle (when referring to ‘chivalrous’), wench (yes, seriously).

So, these are MY classifications for ‘tiers’ of words. This is basically a reference for my “Words” post.
